The edible installation is presented in conversation with Hannes Langbein.<\/p>

The work brought together the harvest of the current season with preserved traces of previous cycles \u2014 transformed into powders, fragments, and other material states.<\/p>

Edible Installation Floristaurant<\/p>

As part of the exhibition and event program Family Matters, I will present Floristaurant.
This edible installation transforms autumn flowers, seasonal harvests, and preserved traces of past cycles into a collective table. Visitors are invited to taste, smell, and pause together \u2014 celebrating both care and chaos through flavors, textures, and stories.<\/p>

Workshop with Marisa Benjamim: Local plants and their uses

The workshop will begin with a guided tour, introducing participants to local plants and their uses. Afterwards, the artist will demonstrate the medicinal properties of these plants with simple recipes for daily use \u2013 such as preparing plant-infused water and applying plants externally for body care. The workshop will also include an introduction to the pigment properties of the plants, showing how their natural colors can be used creatively and discussing their health benefits.

In a raised bed in the garden of the Kulturinsel, behind the gatehouse, regenerative plant species such as sunflowers, nettles, and mustard greens are being cultivated in collaboration with the Stadtpflanzen collective. For one evening, this small garden will become an installation where edible sculptures made from these healing plants can be tasted. The artistic intervention makes the journey from seed to plate tangible and highlights the vital importance of each individual plant growing there. The workshop invites visitors to literally ingest the Ernst-Th\u00e4lmann-Park\u2019s contested history, fostering dialogue about nature\u2019s silent activism. Using detoxifying herbs like nettle, cilantro, and sunflowers, participants bake bread infused with plants that absorb cyanides and heavy metals.<\/p>

(IM)POSSIBLE LOAVES is held by artist Marisa Benjamin at Satellit in occasion of her exhibition \u201c(Im)possible Antidote\u201d, for at Satellit \u201cEcosystems of Care \/ \u00d6kosysteme der F\u00fcrsorge\u201d, an exhibition series by Prater Galerie in Ernst-Th\u00e4lmann-Park.
\u201c(Im)possible Antidote\u201d is site-specific project engaged with the Park\u2019s layered history as a former gasworks (1872-1981), where soil remains poisoned by cyanides, phenols, and tar despite partial remediation. The thematic group exhibition “The Senses of Plants” shows research-based, non-anthropocentric perspectives on the senses, abilities and intelligence of plants from the point of view of international young artists under the artistic direction of Julia Katharina Thiemann at Villa Merkel in Esslingen am Neckar. In the diverse artistic works by Anais Karenin, Marisa Benjamim, Suzette Bousema, Mar\u00eda Castellanos and Alberto Valverdes, Patricia Dom\u00ednguez, \u0160pela Petri\u010d, Miriam Simun, Sa\u0161a Spa\u010dal, Anton Vidokle, Zheng Bo and others, alternative ways of interacting with plants and trees are aesthetically presented, conveying ecological, philosophical and, not least, social and political issues.<\/p>

Tasting En Plein Air –\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0Edible workshop<\/p>

“Tasting En Plein Air” (“Verkostung unter freiem Himmel”) is inspired by the open-air painting of the Impressionist movement (from French: en plein air: “im Freien”). In her workshop, artist Marisa Benjamim combines the beauty of nature with the sensual experience of taste. During a walk through the green islands of the Kulturforum, the participants collect eatable pigments\/plants under her guidance, with which they draw and then taste the artworks.<\/p>

Instructions of Y\u016bgen App propose different modes of thinking and feeling different arrangements of planetary coexistence, invite us to forge intimate kinships with nonhuman life-worlds that dwell in the blurred boundaries between technology and ancestral wisdoms and force us to reflect on endangered nature and our relationship with it by proposing face-to-face encounters with nature and non-human beings.Theexercises propose that we listen\u2014and observe, smell, touch, speak\u2014to the land, the water, the air not with the aim of distantly understanding, grasping, or exploiting, but to resonate, to vibrate, to be together.<\/p>
